WORKSHOP DETAILS
Venue: 1st floor, 32 Kingsland Road, E2 8DA
Tel: 0207 0 333 555
Dates: Saturday 4th and 11th Oct 2008
Time: 10:30am - 4:30pm

HOW IS THE COURSE TAUGHT?
The two day course is taught in small groups (no more than 6 people). You will learn how to capture the delightful East End (Shoreditch, Spitalfields, Brick Lane) the way the you see it, and perhaps more importantly how you want your audience to see it. The small numbers allow for discrete street photography and personalised tuition.

The workshop will combine concise classroom tuition and outdoor adventures, with an emphasis on putting into practice the skills gained immediately - supported by helpful guidance, care and attention.

You will carry out a number of challenges aimed to exercise different techniques, practice new skills and encourage creative experimentation. Individuals will have the opportunity to pursue the ideas and techniques that most interest them with as much guidance as is required.
There will be opportunities to review the photos from the day and the time between the course days can be used for further practice with the opportunity for feedback on the second day.

View the full course outline - please note, this is a guide and if some material is not covered on the day it will be found in the course notes provided.

BEFORE THE DAY

This is a photography course for beginners who want to learn more about their digital camera (point-and-shoot or advanced) and how to get great results.

Do you always look at other people's photos and wonder how they get such great shots? We believe that the person holding the camera is more important than the camera itself. Don't underestimate your ability - amazing results can be achieved with a point-and-shoot digital camera.

By fusing the Shoot Experience philosophy with solid practical skills we provide an unforgettable photography workshop that's not about photography for its own sake, but about using your camera to capture the life that you lead.

What do you need to bring with you to the course?
• Your digital camera (point-and-shoot or advanced) and its manual (if you still have it).
• Your eye, finger (at least one of them) and your attention.
• Some of your photos, good ones and even bad ones!

What do you need to know about photography before you come?
How to press the shutter button is enough...

PRICE: The course is £200 plus VAT but we are offering an introductory price of £150 if booked before the end of August.

WHO WILL BE TEACHING THE COURSE?
You will be in the capable hands of Andre Penteado, a well established photographer in Brazil and the UK with over 10 years experience and work published for Dell, Pirelli, British Film Institute, Big Issue, Time Out and more.
